Lodge FOR SALE

Short term and long term visitors are welcomed!

Cold Bay Lodge is a full-service facility.  Here, you will find lodging, wonderful meals, fully-insured vehicles for rental and cordial, friendly hospitality.  You might fly commercially from Anchorage to Cold Bay, Alaska where we will meet you at the airport.  Or....

Private plane owners may fly directly into Cold Bay via a fully instrumented 10,400' ILS runway.

Guest transportation to the Cold Bay Lodge is provided by PenAir from Anchorage.  The route of the 631 mile flight is through a coastal mountain range that is an active volcanic zone, and offers a splendid view of a coastline reminiscent of southern Oregon and northern California.  Your aircraft will arrive at the airport and our guests will be met and will be transported to the lodge.

Cold Bay Lodge operates a small fleet of vehicles, some of which are available for daily rental.  The typical rental fee per vehicle is $90.00 per day, plus the cost of fuel.  Please reserve your vehicle at the same time you make lodge reservations.

Bring your dog! We have facilities for dogs and there is no better training or test than the Izembek National Wildlife Refuge or field hunting for Alaskan Ptarmigan.  There are no bad weather days as there are fishing and hunting options from the lodge using the road system.

Short-term and overnight travelers to Cold Bay Lodge are charged by the night at the rate of $130.00 (2009 - 2010 season).  There is a city bed tax of 10% or $13.00.  We accept Visa and Mastercard and will invoice another business, if arrangements are made in advance.

In addition to the Lodge's main building, there are three duplexes on the grounds.  These buildings are fully equipped and furnished with full kitchens and baths.  These duplexes are perfect for long-term stays by construction crews and others on temporary assignment.   Occupants are free to either prepare their own meals in the duplex or join our other guests in the main lodge.  Financial arrangements can be made in advance, when your lodge reservations are made.

The Lodge offers a full daily menu starting with a hot breakfast.   It varies from day to day but usually includes eggs, bacon, cereal, hot cakes, toast, juice and fresh fruit.   Full course meals are served each evening and usually consist of prime rib, New York steak, turkey or similar items.  A variety of snacks are available at any time throughout the day and evening.  If requested, the catch of the day is always on the menu for any meal. Special menus to meet dietary needs can be arranged, provided we have sufficient advance notice.

All visitors  to Cold Bay Lodge can enjoy breakfast and lunch for $15.00 each and/or dinner for $30.00.  During some winter months, the lodge is scaled back to a "bed and breakfast status", while we take some time to vacation.  Call the lodge or email Bill Martin to check on the status of meal services.
